ABOUT
1864
Kinosaki
In 1864, a traditional inn, or ryokan, called Mikuniya was established in the small town of Kinosaki, Japan. As a young boy in the third generation of the family business, Hisashi obsessed over Japanese cooking. He moved to London in 1968, inspired to bring Japanese cuisine to England.
1978
Shepherd's Market
In 1978, Kiku opened its doors in Shepherd's Market, the charming enclave of London's West End. It soon became well-known amongst the Japanese community. As the cuisine became more familiar, so too did the popularity of Kiku.
1999
Half Moon St.
Kiku moved in 1999 to cater for the growing popularity of Japanese food. We welcome you to enjoy freshly made sushi on the counter, host a party in our private room (for up to 8), and for every other occasion.
